FlipClear
Privacy & Refund Policy
Effective June 28, 2026
This policy explains what data FlipClear (the "Service") collects, how we use it, and how our refund and credit terms work, and it applies to your use of the Service. FlipClear is operated from Dallas, Texas, USA, and is the controller responsible for your personal data under this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: your name, business name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Usage data: deals you unlock, credits spent, and basic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Billing data: handled by our third-party payment processor. We store a customer/subscription reference but do not store full card numbers.
- Connected marketplace sessions: if you authorize 24/7 order sync, we store your marketplace sign-in session (the cookies that keep you logged in) — encrypted at rest — so we can read your order history on your behalf. We never ask for, receive, or store your marketplace password. This is optional, requires your explicit in-app consent, and you can revoke it and delete every stored session at any time (Order Capture → Disconnect, or by deleting your account).
- Email/marketplace integration data: if you connect an email account or other marketplace for order import, we store the credentials/tokens/settings needed to provide that feature, encrypted at rest.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To process payments, manage your subscription, and track your credit balance.
- To send transactional email (welcome, email verification, password reset, and account notices).
- To protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are used under California's CCPA/CPRA). We disclose data only to service providers ("processors") that help us run the Service — for example, our payment processor (Stripe), our email/SMTP provider, and our hosting/database providers — under terms that limit their use of it, and when required by law or to protect our rights. Your tenant data is logically isolated from other customers.
4. Data retention & security
We retain account and usage data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements; you can erase it at any time by deleting your account. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and any connected marketplace/email credentials and sessions are encrypted at rest. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, though no system is perfectly secure.
5. International data transfers
The Service relies on hosting and service providers that may be located in the United States, the European Union, and other countries, so your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, which may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) for those transfers.
6. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies — a secure, signed session cookie that keeps you logged in, plus local UI preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is required. You can clear cookies in your browser, but you will be signed out and the Service will not function until you sign in again.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export (port), delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. For users in the EEA/UK, our legal bases for processing are: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service and prevent fraud); your consent (for optional features such as 24/7 marketplace order sync, which you can withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations. You can exercise the main rights directly in the app:
- Access / export / portability: download all of your data (profile, orders, reservations, credit history, settings) from Settings → "Your data & account" → Export my data.
- Deletion (erasure): permanently delete your account and all of its data — including any stored marketplace sessions — from Settings → "Your data & account" → Delete account. This cancels your subscription and cannot be undone.
- Correction: update your profile in Settings, or email us for anything you cannot change yourself.
- Withdraw consent: disconnect any individual marketplace (deleting just that stored session) from Order Capture → Disconnect.
- Cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting us.
- For any other request — objection, restriction, or a question about your data — email support@flipclear.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights, and EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data-protection supervisory authority.
Transactional emails (welcome, verification, password reset, account and billing notices) are part of the Service and continue while your account is active; we do not send marketing email without your consent.
8. Refund & credit policy
- Subscriptions: subscription fees are billed in advance and are generally non-refundable. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of the current billing period and are not charged again.
- Credits are non-refundable once purchased and are not redeemable for cash, with the one exception below.
- Dead-listing auto-refund: if you spend a credit to unlock a deal and the underlying listing is confirmed gone/unavailable before you could act on it (a "dead listing"), the Service automatically re-credits that unlock back to your balance. This is the primary circumstance in which credits are returned.
- Monthly subscription credits are use-or-lose: any unused subscription credits expire at renewal and are not refunded or carried over. Purchased top-up credits do not expire at renewal.
- Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.
9. Children
The Service is intended for business users 18 and older and is not directed to children; we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, where required, communicated by email.
11. Contact
